I never knew that I would fall in love with behind the camera until I entered the Miss Horrorfest contest a few years back. To become Miss Horrorfest you have to submit different film making tasks. This was the first time I ever had an idea, shared it with a camera/editing guy and it came out exactly how I pictured it and fell completely in love!!
My second challenge was to do a spin off of my favorite horror film which is Psycho. Danielle sang the song and the fella I accidentally married in Vegas was my victim a total last min decision when my male actor flaked. It funny how it ended up, I had this whole vision not knowing that he would play my victim and it played out in real life similar to how it did in my clip. I asked the cemetery if it was okay to shoot there, they agreed so I did. I got disqualified for not having a permit :( but the cemetery told me to just do it, what was a gal to do?? Either way it was the beginning of a new love that I have nurtured ever since ;) PS yes I know you can see his boxer LOL Hey man these were my first vids LOL
Finally!! I found The Abomination online!! Danielle and I saw this film
at a midnight screening at the Silent Movie Theater off Fairfax in Los
Angeles a few years ago and have been searching for it. Tonight ladies
and gents I found it!! Such a terrifically bad movie, I highly
recommend.

Danielle and I had to go to the market to
buy some last minute Thanksgiving stuff and on the way we found
Hollywood Blvd magically filled with the holiday spirit. Sunday is the
Christmas Parade, looks like they are getting ready for the big day!!
We bumped into the whole effing show himself, Rob Van Dam on our littler
journey. Had such a magical time in such a gnarly old building here in
good old Hollywood. I freaking love it!! Martinez Girlz = Living the
dream ;)
Wow, what a gnarly day!! Its not a bad thing, quite the opposite. I can't help but reflect back on a time in my life where these feelings, emotions and energy were experienced. The time I am referring to is right before Mr. Tommy Dreamer informed me that WWE wanted to offer me a developmental contract. This is why I know these feelings etc are 110% positive. Now I am a wiser version of myself and totally embrace what the Lord has in store for me. I truly believe that the pilot is the beginning of my new life. I have confidence in this because when I was in Vegas shooting I kept feeling emotions I felt ONLY when I was on the road full time with WWE. I know that I need to put on my spiritual armor and be ready for a fight. Not a fight to achieve but fighting the spiritual battle that is around us every day. I feel this is why some find it difficult to live righteously, it can be very hard and discouraging. BUT the pay off is worth so much more than the attacks. It makes the attacks almost comical. Lately I have been around people from my past who I need support from and have begun to nurture new connections that will only elevate me versus take away from me. I am so in love with all my close friends from my past and my new ones. IN LOVE, its such a beautiful thing. We all learn from each other, give to each other and support one another. Such a beautiful gift that keeps on giving- true friendships. I want to publicly thank God for all His blessing and I fully embrace this new life He is preparing for me. I know there are some responsibilities that come with all of it but that's the beauty of it all. Some of those responsibilities used to be "struggles" and now they are so effortless to practice. Last night I hosted another Funtime Gang video chat, it was so much fun. I love that I have an outlet to share my thoughts, feelings and experiences in such an intimate way-with my Funtime Gang!! If you are part of the Funtime Gang and missed it fret not!! The chat is archived. Last night I discussed mine and Danielle's experience at the Shock Film Festival in Hollywood. I am still haunted by three experiences. One, Nice Guys Finish Last a brilliant short film that I am sure all the gals out there can relate to. It was done in such a smart way. That is the only way I can explain it ;) Next is The Houses October Built. This one made me uncomfortable and I can't wait to see it again LOL Stay tuned on Twitter for updates on where you can see both films. Last but certainly not least I was in the same room of Eli Roth. He was honored at the film festival and got quite the award :)
The last film was a screening of Cabin Fever with Mr. Roth in the audience. There was an audio problem and Mr. Roth started to do director commentary with the voice and all. You know what I am talking about LOL He didn't miss a beat!! I don't mean to sound like a creep but there is something about him that calls to me and says "you are meant to work with me." Perhaps he thinks I'm just a psycho fan but I am very familiar with that little voice and when the time is right I look forward to sharing with Mr. Roth my thoughts :) The night was very interesting but totally worth every second. I am very excited to start working with morehorror.com I also hope that I can finally shoot my Girls and Corpses piece. I was supposed to work with them years ago but we couldn't quite connect. I was reunited with the creator at Shock Fest so we shall see!! After the screening we went to the Hardrock Cafe in Hollywood for the after party. I had a great time, my only regret is leaving early. I didn't get to see the award ceremony. I am not sure what happened but I know for whatever reason they were behind in time and must have had the awards super late. We left around 1:30AM after all it is Hollywood and we wanted to make sure to get home before all the bars closed. We didn't have a male to escort us home and the Blvd can get pretty, pretty, pretty gnarly in the wee hours of the morning LOL I wonder what next years Shock Fest will be like, one thing is for sure I plan to attend again!! xo Shelly
Omgosh!! What a treat treat to have one of my very BESTEST amigas ever stop by to not only do a guest spot on Fun Time Radio (blogtalkradio.com/funtimradio) but we got to spend quality time together!! This amgia I speak of is Serena Deeb. After FTR our friend Sarah, Will and Brian Zombie came over for an impromtu Martinez Girlz party!! This was our first party in our new apartment so it was very special. We had so much fun just sharing life together in our humble abode :) Cheat day came early and we found ourselves on Hollywood Blvd looking for the best pizza joint the boulevard had to offer. Good people, good times, good food- pretty much it was a perfect day ;) Here are some pics we took:

Hola amiga/os!! I hope all of you are doing well this fine Saturday morn :) I thought I would send a quick blog to share some pics from my visit in Louisville and a teaser from my Tommy Dreamer video. I have had such an amazing time on my trip. Really connecting to my roots and who I was, who I am and who I will be. Such a beautiful feeling. Especially going to the Danny Davis Arena and seeing Danny, Julie, Mo Green, Lowrider aka Anarqula, Rainbow freakin' Ramsey and a ton of other familiar faces. Something that was even more heart warming is my reconnection with someone from my past who is VERY special to me. I got all my questions answered, closure, growth and love. I also got to relive the old days, just hanging out with my BFFs doing the same old things we used to back in the day. I miss them all so much already, I wish they all lived in LA. I have always looked back on my time in Louisville and all the good times I had and here I was reliving them!! One thing that I totally tripped out on was the fact that when I was living my dream by being on the roaster of WWE so were some of my besties. We totally lived out dreams together!! I don't think I ever thought of it in such a deep way prior to returning to the Ville. I really think its not only cool but very magical. I'm in my hotel room now in VA got a GXW show tonight. Me vs Kacee Carlisle should be grand!! I will def put the match on the site ;) Well time to get ready for the Regal Beagle Brunch Chat AND a quick Funtime Gang video chat ;) Adios!!
