Wow, that's all I can say is wow. I just got back from a walk with the Mertzes and went into deep thought about different experiences I had from wrestling. When reflecting back i realized how part of me becoming a woman was going through all the experiences I had gone through during my time in WWE, TNA and life after being on TV. Wrestling may have ended up being a nasty beastie that would later break my heart but its like wrestling was my first true love. The first true love that you learn so much from because you never had experienced love before. I mean I remember my first love, not first long term relationship but my first REAL love. It's like the indies were all those high school relationships then there was OVW which was like your first serious relationship. Then I arrived to WWE aka my first true love. We all know how that went but then I rebound with TNA. After my rebound I found rebirth within my soul. One that I never quite understood but I always knew existed. Wrestling has inspired me today, not as wanting to be on tv but as in who it help me become and I feel empowered by that. Does this make sense LOL xoxoxooxoxxo Love & light to all!! xoxo

Love Story with Film Making

I never knew that I would fall in love with behind the camera until I entered the Miss Horrorfest contest a few years back. To become Miss Horrorfest you have to submit different film making tasks. This was the first time I ever had an idea, shared it with a camera/editing guy and it came out exactly how I pictured it and fell completely in love!!

My second challenge was to do a spin off of my favorite horror film which is Psycho. Danielle sang the song and the fella I accidentally married in Vegas was my victim a total last min decision when my male actor flaked. It funny how it ended up, I had this whole vision not knowing that he would play my victim and it played out in real life similar to how it did in my clip. I asked the cemetery if it was okay to shoot there, they agreed so I did. I got disqualified for not having a permit :( but the cemetery told me to just do it, what was a gal to do?? Either way it was the beginning of a new love that I have nurtured ever since ;) PS yes I know you can see his boxer LOL Hey man these were my first vids LOL

We stopped by Retro Outlaw tonight, the home of the official Martinez Girlz t-shirt line and all things horror!! We did a little apparel shoot for Retro Outlaw's site :) Martinez Girlz shirts will debut VERY soon on shellymartinez.org.

Danielle and I had to go to the market to buy some last minute Thanksgiving stuff and on the way we found Hollywood Blvd magically filled with the holiday spirit. Sunday is the Christmas Parade, looks like they are getting ready for the big day!!

We bumped into the whole effing show himself, Rob Van Dam on our littler journey. Had such a magical time in such a gnarly old building here in good old Hollywood. I freaking love it!! Martinez Girlz = Living the dream ;)

A New Beginning..

Wow, what a gnarly day!! Its not a bad thing, quite the opposite. I can't help but reflect back on a time in my life where these feelings, emotions and energy were experienced. The time I am referring to is right before Mr. Tommy Dreamer informed me that WWE wanted to offer me a developmental contract. This is why I know these feelings etc are 110% positive. Now I am a wiser version of myself and totally embrace what the Lord has in store for me. I truly believe that the pilot is the beginning of my new life. I have confidence in this because when I was in Vegas shooting I kept feeling emotions I felt ONLY when I was on the road full time with WWE. I know that I need to put on my spiritual armor and be ready for a fight. Not a fight to achieve but fighting the spiritual battle that is around us every day. I feel this is why some find it difficult to live righteously, it can be very hard and discouraging. BUT the pay off is worth so much more than the attacks. It makes the attacks almost comical. Lately I have been around people from my past who I need support from and have begun to nurture new connections that will only elevate me versus take away from me. I am so in love with all my close friends from my past and my new ones. IN LOVE, its such a beautiful thing. We all learn from each other, give to each other and support one another. Such a beautiful gift that keeps on giving- true friendships. I want to publicly thank God for all His blessing and I fully embrace this new life He is preparing for me. I know there are some responsibilities that come with all of it but that's the beauty of it all. Some of those responsibilities used to be "struggles" and now they are so effortless to practice. Last night I hosted another Funtime Gang video chat, it was so much fun. I love that I have an outlet to share my thoughts, feelings and experiences in such an intimate way-with my Funtime Gang!! If you are part of the Funtime Gang and missed it fret not!! The chat is archived. Last night I discussed mine and Danielle's experience at the Shock Film Festival in Hollywood. I am still haunted by three experiences. One, Nice Guys Finish Last a brilliant short film that I am sure all the gals out there can relate to. It was done in such a smart way. That is the only way I can explain it ;) Next is The Houses October Built. This one made me uncomfortable and I can't wait to see it again LOL Stay tuned on Twitter for updates on where you can see both films. Last but certainly not least I was in the same room of Eli Roth. He was honored at the film festival and got quite the award :)

The last film was a screening of Cabin Fever with Mr. Roth in the audience. There was an audio problem and Mr. Roth started to do director commentary with the voice and all. You know what I am talking about LOL He didn't miss a beat!! I don't mean to sound like a creep but there is something about him that calls to me and says "you are meant to work with me." Perhaps he thinks I'm just a psycho fan but I am very familiar with that little voice and when the time is right I look forward to sharing with Mr. Roth my thoughts :) The night was very interesting but totally worth every second. I am very excited to start working with morehorror.com I also hope that I can finally shoot my Girls and Corpses piece. I was supposed to work with them years ago but we couldn't quite connect. I was reunited with the creator at Shock Fest so we shall see!! After the screening we went to the Hardrock Cafe in Hollywood for the after party. I had a great time, my only regret is leaving early. I didn't get to see the award ceremony. I am not sure what happened but I know for whatever reason they were behind in time and must have had the awards super late. We left around 1:30AM after all it is Hollywood and we wanted to make sure to get home before all the bars closed. We didn't have a male to escort us home and the Blvd can get pretty, pretty, pretty gnarly in the wee hours of the morning LOL I wonder what next years Shock Fest will be like, one thing is for sure I plan to attend again!! xo Shelly

Omgosh!! Hola amiga/os!! I hope all of you are doing well this fine Saturday morn :) I thought I would send a quick blog to share some pics from my visit in Louisville and a teaser from my Tommy Dreamer video. I have had such an amazing time on my trip. Really connecting to my roots and who I was, who I am and who I will be. Such a beautiful feeling. Especially going to the Danny Davis Arena and seeing Danny, Julie, Mo Green, Lowrider aka Anarqula, Rainbow freakin' Ramsey and a ton of other familiar faces. Something that was even more heart warming is my reconnection with someone from my past who is VERY special to me. I got all my questions answered, closure, growth and love. I also got to relive the old days, just hanging out with my BFFs doing the same old things we used to back in the day. I miss them all so much already, I wish they all lived in LA. I have always looked back on my time in Louisville and all the good times I had and here I was reliving them!! One thing that I totally tripped out on was the fact that when I was living my dream by being on the roaster of WWE so were some of my besties. We totally lived out dreams together!! I don't think I ever thought of it in such a deep way prior to returning to the Ville. I really think its not only cool but very magical. I'm in my hotel room now in VA got a GXW show tonight. Me vs Kacee Carlisle should be grand!! I will def put the match on the site ;) Well time to get ready for the Regal Beagle Brunch Chat AND a quick Funtime Gang video chat ;) Adios!! Shellys Darling Journey pt 1

Fri night was the benefit show in Indianapolis w Kevin Thorn. He teamed up w Eugene vs Doug Basham & Billy Gunn. Such a fun match and boy was I tipsy!! Open bar!! I had a great time w my new amiga Stephanie. I danced the night away and made some fellas very uncomfortable w my vampy vibe. A bartender there reminded me of Mark Ballas so I kept calling him by his name lol He didn't mind!! In fact when I took a pic w him I told him that made my night to which he replied no, no you made mine.

Last night was the GXW show in Prince George VA. Gunner was there, such a fan. I had such a great time!! I'll post my match on the site tonight. After the show they took mento Wonderland, love this place btw!! It's in Richmond. I got to rub elbows w Wayne, Wolverine & Johnny Lawrence lol Now time to board my flight to Louisville!!

Long time no blog : ( BUT alas I am here to share some pics from yesterdays Sign of the Times event. It was soooooooooo great to see some of my old amigas!! Especially Velvet Sky. We have been amigas for many years and lost touch but now we are back in full effect!! I sure did party is up- hey man....its convention life, you gotta make the best of it ;) Sign of Times was at the LAX Marriott which a pretty choice hotel. Not sure what could've brought attendance up but I did have fun. I didn't make much money but reconnecting with mi amigas was well worth the appearance!! I also got to catch up with Ashley, Maria, Angela and Susie Feldman.

Photo of the Week is part 2 of my shoot as an Indian in Malibu. I had such a great time that day!! I will be shooting with Brian Zombie this weekend. I cant wait, they are going to be some VERY strong images I'm sure :) There is something about Brian that brings the best out of me. I have had so much growth since this shoot I wonder who the next set will come out!! I also added a new The Martinez Girlz in Moving to Hollywood. A fun clip sharing out different moments in getting into our new apartment. Life is so mysteriously beautiful. One min you think you are living the life and are full of happiness, the next it all gets taken from you so that you can see everything with a clearer lens I am still tripping out on how fast July came and went and all the CRAZINESS that came along with it. MPP Party @ the Playboy Mansion

Thurs was a crazy day. During the day Danielle and I moved and in the evening we went to the MPP party at the Playboy Mansion. It was bittersweet for me. I'm going to a heartbreaking break up and just couldn't seem to 100% get into the spirit. I did meet with MPP before the party to talk about getting more involved with the organization. I am excited to be a part of the solution rather than the problem :) Here are some fun pics we took.

I am so glad Danielle was able to come with me. She is my solid rock and gift from God. They had a silent auction with lots of beautiful Marilyn Monroe artwork and photos. I have always felt so connected to her more now than ever. I know I have said this before but I remember going to a function with my family and they had this game where you throw a ball and whoever catches it answers the question your index finger lands on. My question was who would you be in history and why?? To which I answered Marilyn Monroe but everything she did wrong I would do right.

My fav part of the mansion are the animals!! I can get lost in that jungle for hours. We kept following this peacock around sooooo beautiful. The picture doesn't do it justice. What I found interesting is when sunset came the peacocks would fly into trees and go to sleep. I guess I just never thought about how they would sleep. We were walking through the garden looked up and saw about 10 of them up there!!

The monkeys are my favorite!! They are so cute and so active. I wish I had a monkey and bird habitat, perhaps one day :) Danielle and I just watched them for a long time. So interesting with their little hands and faces :)

I love that you can hold and take pictures with the parrots. This one had a Fred Mertz vibe, not sure why but he/she did :)

Here is Danielle in the front of the mansion :) We left the party at just the right time. I wasn't able to take pictures at night because alas my phone has not flash. We did get some stuff on the Fun Cam so be on the look out. It was great to see RVD and his wife along with Hal Sparks. Again, wish we could've taken pictures with them. We did take one with Hal hopefully that pictures will resurface. I am really looking forward to becoming more active with MPP my passion for it is on a different level now that I have had different experiences even within the cannabis community.

Hola!! I hope all of you had a great weekend. Mine was great!! I am so excited for all of you to see the Smashing Pumpkins video tomorrow!! I feel so blessed to have been a part of it. Not only artistically but the new connections I made with people who are life long friends :) What more can a gal ask for ;) Yesterday I did a shoot, it was fun!! It was a workshop for photographers so pretty much me and bunch of models shot with different photographers. Here is a sneak peak of one of the shot. The full set will post to the site this week!!
I will also post a new episode of The Martinez Girlz sharing my Smashing Pumpkins video shoot journey :) Lots of fun!! I look forward to reading all of your reviews ;)

I hope all of you had a wonderful weekend!! As some of you may know, I have had a passion for radio ever since I was a little girl. I have had such a journey with Fun Time Radio, I learned so much!! I learned what I want and don't want. I learned who should be involved and who shouldn't. Danielle and I are so excited to move forward. Hey everyone!!
My has it been a long time since I have blogged. Its been such a crazy time in my life. I am trying to make new dreams/goals come true and survive in life at the same time. Spiritually I have grown so much even from just a week ago!! Financially, now that's a different story. I never really had direction or anyone there to guide me through life especially when it came to finances. I grew up in a household where water and heat got turn off often and bills always piling up. When I was in the WWE and was finally making some real money I didn't invest that money into my future. If I could do it all over again I would have taken online courses to be a personal trainer so that I would always have a back up plan if something didn't go the right way. My time in WWE was the ONLY time in my life where I made REAL money. So now I am saving up to do so!! High five!! AND I learned so much. What I want and don't want. I know that I was never taught about finances not because my parents were trying to keep it from me. They were just trying to make it period. My mom was just trying to change her situation and do the best she could. Knowledge is power and now I am aware. It's interesting that once you connect 100% with your soul and see that it needs some cleaning- life can get a bit tough. I used to pick up the slack when I needed to pay rent etc by taking modeling/acting bookings that required me to be topless. After going through that experience I feel that is not where God wants me. He did use me during that time in my life but that time is over. I view nudity as a beautiful thing but not everyone does. I have found that most view nudity as 100% sexual and for their own view pleasure, if you know what I mean. I have met so many wonderful gals who went through that dark time with me, tried to exit with me but always fell back to it because its easy. Easy money but with a price. I guess that is why some of them end up back on drugs etc :( I tried the easy way and it did not mesh well with my soul. Its been a tough week but I am staying positive with God's light by my side. I hope all of you are having a positive day/night and I look forward to sharing more of my journey with all of you.

I hope everyone is doing well this fine evening :) I just wanted to post a quick blog about yesterdays shoot!! Once again I booked a gig with this radical company called Big Logo. They are an advertising company, they often hire me for different commercial work. My latest was for Rip Fire which is a dietary supplement. I had so much fun!! Its always a good day when you are getting paid to do what you love. I live for hosting!! Watch out, one day I might just be on E! :) Here are some pics Danielle took yesterday :)

Hola!! I hope all of you enjoyed your week!! I really appreciate everyone support, it really means a lot to me. I know I made the right decision and things are already moving forward :) I realized I made the right choice almost everyday. Something always seems to confirm my feelings ever since I decided to break up with wrestling. I just watched last night's Impact and I must say I understand why I have NO place there. Some of their story lines are so cheap and it turns me off completely. I will continue to watch my friends and gladly fast forward through the rest. I recently posted a video about my raw feelings towards a certain story line. I hope all of you enjoyed your week :) I just wanted to share something I just experienced during my cardio session :)

I was thinking of all the BS I have been dealing with lately. Then it hit me. Years ago I was very involved with an actor. We were hanging out at his house with some vino and cannabis, nothing out of the ordinary. Next thing I know I woke up and it was morning. I didn't feel right nor could I recall the nightly events which is very out of the ordinary for me. I was taking a shower then all of a sudden my body felt like it was shutting down. Life started to fade into black. I called out to him as I was making an exit out of the shower. Next thing I know I felt so peaceful. All I could see is a blue-ish color and a white light. I felt like I was light as a feather and I heard my voice. My voice was saying "this is so peaceful" then I looked down and saw my lifeless body and my bf shaking me and freaking out. I looked back to the light and said "maybe there is a reason to wake up but this feels so nice, but there must be a reason to wake up." Then the next thing I knew I felt a jolt and I opened my eyes to see my bf doing exactly what I saw from above. I believe I died. He said I turned grey!! We were supposed to go on a trip to England. He was in a film that was going to shoot there. The studio paid for my travel and all but he told me I should stay home in case this happens while in England. I couldn't believe it. He ended up being TOTALLY not for me and now when I reflect back I can't help but wonder, what did he give me?? You don't have an experience like this out of the blue. I never had that happen again and have been checked out since then with nothing to report back.

So, back to my cardio session. I was thinking about all the different people and companies that have given me negative vibes, feelings, etc and I realized when I left this world for a moment NONE of those people or companies were a concern. The only concern I had was if I should wake up or continue feeling this peace. I prayed hard during my workout asking God to protect me from anyone and anything negative or not of God. I guess I got my answer, I now understand how it's all about what you do while here not what your job title or status in life is. Once your time is up you do not think wrestling, who screwed you over, jealousy-NOTHING. Watching shows about experiences similar to mine there is something very common, you check all that stuff out the door. It's like none of it exists. I felt I NEEDED to share this will all of you. I hope everyone has a positive day!!

What a strange morning!! It took me forever to recover my Google account :( BUT I am here now :) I am soooo excited to finally have shellymartinez.org up. I hope all of you enjoy it as much as we love shooting content. The site is completely different from what it was before. I am really excited to share my life with all of you in a deeper way. Lets not forget shellymartinez.org will soon be home to the Sprinkles series!! Things have changed soooo much from the first promo. Sprinkles has transformed into something that I never imaged. I hope all of you have enjoyed your weekend. Mine was pretty cool. On Saturday I had an early Sprinkles shoot then after the shoot took a field trip to my grandma's house :) Yesterday I was kinda lagging, Sprinkles shoot hangover :) Seems whenever I have to put a lot of my emotions out there it wipes me out. Eventually we went to my friend Jules house. Sooooo much fun!! It was an early night that is for sure but I am stoked I finally got to hang out with Jules and Michelle. We got tons of footage on the Fun Cam!! Today I will dedicate myself to catch up on everything that involves getting my site ready for December 20th :) Don't forget to check out this week's Fun Time Radio. For the record, I have NEVER NOT known God to be in my life I think ppl sometimes forget I have ALWAYS had my faith Not once have I every doubted my faith or God Maybe When my dad died I turned to the Lord vs turning my back on Him I have had periods in my life that I didnt understand everything as I do now but I was young @GreenVenus10 and I were kinda thrown into the world with no one to tell us how to live life The only thing we knew to do in those times was to turn to God always In return I understand my life and life in general in such a more clear way Guess He kept his promise :) I may not make mention to it when it happens but I always get taken back when someone thinks I need saving or do not take what I say serious Proof is in the peace I live EVERYDAY even on hard days Just needed to share with those who may read this as a reminder that I have been blessed to be born into a christian home then I CHOSE to continue to live my life for God Shoot, it has kept me out of a lot of trouble Whenever faced with choosing right to wrong I would end up choose right bcuz I have always been aware of my spiritual life-The life that continues on after we leave this world

Hola everyone!!

I noticed its been some time since my last blog-boourns to me!! So much has been happening lately it has truly been a roller coaster ride. I am so excited that FINALLY everything seems to be coming together. After all those time I wanted to just throw my hands up and say I quit. I was just on the new site and it looks radical!! The site will be totally different from how it was before. It is easy to navagate, looks clean, not confusion and lots of features!! My webmistress is working hard to get all the features up and going!! There has been so many times I wanted to quit doing my site. I now understand I had to go through all those emotions and experiences to get what I want now. It is so refreshing to have someone on my team that understands what I want and my vision for the site. It will be VERY fan friendly and only $40/yr :) Nothing seemed to work smoothly before but now all is well :) Danielle and I will be shooting November 2nd new exclusive shots for the opening of the site :) It's gonna be cuuuuuuuuute!! Weekly Wrap

OMGosh, I am so behind!! It's all good though, I am going to make sure I am caught up with everything before I go to bed. Doing the Sprinkles shoots take so much time and effort. Totally worth it though!! Tomorrow I will write my Shoot Promo Shelly column so be on the look out for that :)

On Saturday we shot a scene where our actor was required to wear special effects make up!! The make up artist did such a wonderful job!! I look forward to working with her again. Danielle and I def have some cool ideas for shoot :) Anywho, it was a bittersweet day. As I said, the make up looked great but we had to head out to Malibu for this shoot. I was not shooting so the pressure wasn't so bad but when we all piled in the car to drive over an hour away I got sooooo car sick :( When I get car sick it is very hard to shake it off, my tummy is very sensitive. Once we got there the weather was beautiful and the ocean air did me some good :) I cannot wait to share with all of you the end product-shoot, I can't wait to see it myself. After the shoot Vinny took Danielle and I to our fav sushi place. My tummy sucked but I was feeling pretty, pretty, pretty good after a successful shoot day.

Sunday was a little more hectic. We were supposed to be at the building at 930AM and didn't end up getting there until past 1030AM. We had bought a ton of food and thought it would be a good idea to have a BBQ to feed the cast and crew. Well, we did not have a BBQ grill and we thought it was be easy to buy one in the morning. Now that summer has come and gone it is difficult to find a BBQ. I ended up getting a propane grill, you know the kind for camping and such. It worked out after all but boy was it stressful running around last min!! Jess (ODB) was coming in from Vegas to shoot with us, I was totally nervous she wouldn't be on time. Vegas is a bit of a drive but she ended up coming early so it totally worked out!! I had so much fun shooting with one of my BFF's-too much fun!! I will totally keep all of you posted on when more content is up for this episode. After the shoot we came home and hung out a bit then off to bed we all went :)

This morning Danielle did Jess' make up for a shoot she has scheduled before leaving today. Danielle always does such a great job!! Around 9 this morning I took her to her shoot. It was sooooooo cute!! I am glad I could be there for some support :) Today has been deemed the hottest day in LA's history. I totally felt bad because I thought Vinny didn't have to work and I could use his car to take Jess everywhere she needed to go with some AC, the Camero does not have AC. Sorry Jess!! She was a good sport about it though. After the shoot we picked up Danielle and went for sushi again :) Weeeee, I sure made out this weekend!! As soon as Jess sends me pics I will post them :) We took some cute ones!! After the sushi we took her to the airport, I really hope she moves here!! Would be nice to have a female pal around for me and Danielle :)

OMGosh, what a week!! So much to share with all of you :) During the week Danielle and I were in charge of getting props and such for the Sprinkles shoot. LOTS of leg work but totally worth it :) Not to mention it feel so satisfying when you are forced to do all the BS stuff. On Friday Vinny join Danielle and me for the last min prop making/buying. We started the morning off by eating a great breakfast at Bob's Big Boy!! The Big Boy is always a good time :)

After we ate we headed to Cinema Secrets which is a costume/special effects store. Danielle and I couldn't help ourselves- we had to try on some fun masks!!

After we got all the stuff we needed we headed to Hollywood Blvd to get the outfits for the girls who were gonna play the villains :) Our first stop was a place called Pig 'n Whistle. Here is a link for those interested in the history of Pig 'n Whistle :

We had a drink to start off the mood of the day :) Danielle and I went to use the restroom and let me tell you, it is so fun to walk down the stair way and red curtains to the restroom :)

After we finished we headed out to find these outfits for the girls. It wasn't too difficult to find what we needed. It did take having to walk up and down the blvd but everything seemed to be going smoothly. After all the Sprinkles shoots that have gone wrong this was such a relief. After some time we had to use the restroom again. Hey man, we drink lots of water!! :) One thing that irks me about Hollywood Blvd is there are NO restrooms available. Now, I do understand there are tons of homeless and they tend to do drugs in the public restrooms but there has got to be a middle ground :( I had to use the restroom so bad that Vinny ended up having to get a few drinks so I could use a restaurants restroom. So I guess in the end it works out :) Our friend Dominick joined us on our journey and when he said he was hungry I couldn't have been happier to go and eat again. I was feeling very tired and my body was craving something nutritious. We stopped by this restaurant called BOHO (I think) off Sunset Blvd. It was soooooooo cute!! I love the atmosphere there!! I can't wait to go back. After we ate it was time to go home and finish all the last min details for our shoot on Saturday. Vinny stayed up all night making the cake I needed to pop out of :)

On Saturday me, Vinny and one of the actors Lee headed to my old hood in the 909 while Danielle set up everything at the location we were gonna film at. My old friend let us use his office when we shot the promo for Sprinkles and we realized we needed to use the parking lot. We tried to contact him during the week but he never got back to us :( (BTW this hurts my pink feelings, I have no clue why he would ignore us- so sad to seemly loose one of the only friends I have in California) Well, we decided to just shoot there anyway. No one bothered us, in fact we didn't see a soul while shooting. I was nervous that we would get in trouble for not having permission. After we shot we headed back to LA. Danielle had everything set up wonderfully and though the shoot day was long it was so much fun!!

Fred, Ethel and Ginger are in this episode!! It was fun to have the animals on set with us. Took off the stress of worrying about them :) Sunday was our second shoot day. Danielle and I got there before Vinny to open up in case anyone came early. As I walked up I saw a girl who kinda looked familiar but I wasn't sure. She was on her phone and seemed distracted with her phone convo so I thought, maybe I don't know her after all. I thought for sure if she was with us she would've said something when she saw us. I knew for sure she wasn't one of the girls we booked for the villains. Then after passing her a few times she finally said "Hi Shelly, I guess you didn't recognize me I am the make up artist" then it hit me duh, she was the make up artist I met at Vinny's shoot almost two years ago when I first met him. I haven't seen her since so I wasn't too familiar with her. To make it worse when I first met her she was VERY negative to me. After we set everything up she started to say how she couldn't believe how long Vinny and I have stayed together THEN started to be catty by talking about how I stole Vinny away from his "girlfriend" when I met him. Vinny and I both were seeing casual other people. Nothing serious until we met each other. I thought it was totally in poor taste that she insisted in having a 10 mins convo with me about this other girl from 2 years ago-LAME!! I guess sometimes first impressions are dead on. I didn't let her negative energy get to me. I enjoyed myself fully!! I ended up in two GREAT conversations with some of the other actors that I feel, are what we are designed to do. Weekly Wrap pt 2

.....I was really in a panic when Vinny and I couldn't get the sewing machine to work on Friday night. We had my new and improved Sprinkles outfit custom made at a stripper store on Hollywood Blvd. They claimed they could do such a great job, let me tell you these people are never getting a dollar from me again. What makes it worse is they do have really cute stuff I could shoot in for shellymartinez.com but I refused to ever give them ANY of my money. The owner is so rude to me. You know the type, because I am a female he has to belittle me and such- BARF!! Long story short, the end product was NOT what we wanted. There were some pieces to it that were helpful so it wasn't a total bust. Saturday morning Vinny went to get a new sewing machine and totally kicked butt at sewing!! Silver lining in all this we now have a sewing machine that totally works and Vinny can totally sew!! Who knew :) We were going to arrive at the location at 10am but were set back from having to make a costume-AGAIN. We got there around 1, ordered some food then got down to business. It was fun at first but I found myself having some panic attacks :( I totally forgot to bring a robe so I couldn't go outside and medicate. By the end of the shoot my energy was low but we almost got everything we needed. Danielle was suited up in some gnarly outfit :) I can't wait for all of you to see the finish product!! When we got home we pigged out on chips!! Lots of work, lots of set back but we did it!! We are all set to shoot the next scenes September 1st with the whole effin show RVD!! Very excited about this.

Um, I was totally unaware of this but Sunday nights happen to be karaoke night!! Danielle and I are quite the rock stars while singing karaoke :) We sang What's Up by 4 Non Blondes together, I sang You Outta Know by Alanis Morissette and Danielle sang Magic Man by Heart :) My friend Blain came down. It was so freakin awesome to see him!! AND my friend @zombiefoto was there too, good times with my little group of friends. Rusty and Lyndon Johnson were in attendance too :) I hope to return soon and have some more positive peeps with me. You can't beat a killer place and as many positive vibes as you can get. There were def some negative vibes thrown my way last night. It was all good though. I said a prayer before entering the place for protection so those negative vibes didn't effect me just annoying LOL I leave those vibes with this

Weekly Wrap :) pt 1

OMGosh was this week CRRRRRRAAAAAZA!! So I have been really struggling as of late with keeping myself from getting discouraged. It was different this time though. Thank God, literally!! I've always seek out the truth and am open to knowing my short comings so that I can repair what is damaged to be the best version of me I can be. Usually when I have one thing after another happen I tend to feel overwhelmed then frustrated which leads to me crying and feeling hopeless :( I learned that things tend to catch up to me and though it may take a while they def catch up to me when I least expected them to hence the overwhelming and frustrating feelings. I learned that I needed to make wiser decisions so I would not find myself in the same type of situations over and over again. I learned a lot about myself during this process and about life in general. This is an example on why I truly believe God is real and His teachings are def guidelines for our life. So in saying this here is part 1 of 2 for today :)

Friday I had my Lowrider shoot. I had really been looking forward to it!! Been working hard to be in the best shape I could be in, I really want the cover this time :) Danielle came with me (of course) to take BTS pics and such. It was a bit of a drive. Nothing too crazy just not local. I drove my camero aka Susie Fun Mobile to the shoot. I kept thinking before leaving that maybe I should borrow Vinny's car since he was working more locally but I LOVE driving that car. Its my dream car!! Danielle and I got there about 45 mins early so we thought we would go to this shopping center to see if they had some nail polish. My nails def needed a touch up so I figured if I couldn't find nail polish I would just get nail polish remover. So I go to start my car, nothing. I tried again, nothing. Then I thought okay this is the farthest I driven it maybe it was just too much for the car. I drove on the freeway so I figured I would get it jumped and take side streets home. We walked to the store and found at least the remover. We came back, went to check in and meet Jorge :) He is a very cool dude :) We walked to the studio and he said "hmm that is so weird the make up room is locked but its impossible to lock unless someone is inside." I really didn't think much of it. I figured maybe a cleaning person or someone locked it not knowing they are not suppose to. Then I started to pay closer attention when he just couldn't wrap his head around how this happened. He said you literally cannot lock it unless you are inside or have the key which only one person had and they didn't lock it. His face made me a little spooked :) not in a fearful way just in a first my car then this way :) Well, Danielle and I were early so we opted to go to Starbucks while waiting the photographer and make up artist. When we came back they got the door open and make up began!! The shoot was so much fun. I had never worked with any of these people before so it was quite the relief they were all awesome :) We had a long shoot but got some killer pics!! Can't wait to share some of them with all of you. After the shoot we went to my car and jumping it didn't work. We put another battery in it only to see smoke!! So long story short, it looks like I need a new starter. They gave me a weekend pass to park there so now I am trying to figure out how to get it towed home with only $50 in my pocket. The whole time I was experiencing this though I, for the first time, had zero dark thoughts or anything like that. It was almost the feeling of helping your friend out in a jam. You know, detached from the situation but still trying to solve the problem. It was so freeing!! Don't get me wrong, I still need to figure it out but without all that anxiety. I know God has my back and I learned in the past if I only gave Him my trust I would've saved myself a lot of internal grief. Vinny had to come pick us up :( Hopefully I can get the car tomorrow......

Deaths in Wrestling

It is so sad when I find out yet another fellow wrestling has fallen :( I really felt for Lance Cade's loved ones and close friends this past week. It's so sad that rarely do you hear about a wrestler passing away after living a long, healthy life. I feel so blessed that I was able to catch myself before I fell.

I am very familiar with abusing prescription pills and what it can do to you when high and when going through withdraws. I have learned that the poison of your addiction isn't what the root of the problem is. It's why you choose that poison and what effect it give you that your seem to crave. For me, muscle relaxers put me in a zombie mode where I didn't have to feel anything. I had these dark feelings and didn't understand why. Now I understand I had suppressed memories that needed to come out but I was choosing to numb myself with muscle relaxers to make that dark feeling at least go away for a bit. Since I have been away from self medicating I have unlocked those memories which has helped me understand myself and why I am the way I am. Why I got frustrated over the silliest things or why I would fly off the handle when things or people triggered those dark feelings I wasn't understanding. NOW I understand why taking medication is most efficient while going to therapy. I really wish this way of thinking was promoted in wrestling. It's so sad!! Especially when you do not realized you are causing harm to not only yourself but others around you. My prayers are with Lance and his loved ones. Thank you Lord for always being my rock. xo Shelly

Back to the Basics pt 2

So I figured I went back to the basics pt 1 by starting training again :) YAY Now, part two. I am proud to announce that on Friday I will be shooting with Lowrider Magazine!! Before my wrestling success I had been featured in the magazine many times. I have yet to grace the cover :( I am going to work soooo hard this week on clean diet and super cardio in hope to FINALLY get the cover :) Stay tuned!! xo Shelly

Some Sunday Thoughts

Man, I have been really trippin' out the last few days. I have had this unsettling feeling that I just can't seem to shake. I did feel myself yesterday while driving back from practice though!! It felt so good to start over fresh. Now that my mind, body and soul are in a better place training meant something different to me. It felt different. Similar to how I felt when I first started but minus the anxiety :) and it just makes sense. I have decided to start from scratch now that I understand wrestling in a different way. I need to make all my moves, big or small, crisp and the only way to make that happen every time is to be in ring shape. I understand now more than every how going back to the basics will help me so much more when I do more advance moves in the ring. I thought my ego might get to me and I would feel silly being in a beginner class but not 1% did I feel that way. In fact, I was eager to correct moves and such I wasn't doing properly. Then when Danielle and I return home I started to feel that unsettle feeling again. Today Danielle and I came together not only as sister or friends but spiritually and I figured it out!! Danielle and I tend to not struggle with certain feelings, emotions, decisions etc but others have a really hard time to understand. Then it hit me!! I feel because I have always had God in my life certain "stuff" is just second nature to me. Some of those things are not second nature to others hence why it could be difficult for others to understand why I may understand something in a different way. THEN I realized I am being challenged which only leads to growth. I am a big fan!! I felt way more positive after our chat and now I feel my day can continue. I still feel unsettled but just not in that dark way anymore-I know understand. Just thought I would share!! Better watch out, I might be prone to blog later today :)

So for two days now I have been trying to upload my RVD interview grrrrr. I think its my computer, I really need a new one. This one is almost toast!! I am hoping to soon just switch to lap top. Then I can take all of you everywhere with me!! I was so angry a few mins ago. So frustrated, then God reminded me I need to not revert back to angry Shelly, angry Shelly only leads to feeling dark or thinking dark thoughts. Thank you God for reminding me!! My reminder?? Little Star by Madonna, the words remind me of how I feel about Danielle and once that love over came me my computer glitch seemed silly. Just food for thought!!

I do not know where the heck the time went today but I am still working hard on getting everything in order. Danielle and I got planners today!! When I had one last year it really helped me keep things in order and not miss any details. I have so learned how important paying attention to EVERY detail is. I am so ready to move forward and do it right, with the least amount of mistakes :) I look forward to sharing all the new developments in my career and site with all of you. I have been known to blab out what is in the works and when some thing didnt pan out I was stuck eating my words :( Make sure to stay tuned!!
